hexTerminator: sure, that's the right size

Mahyar: @hexTerminator: The image was uploaded as a UI suggestion for the Fan Art Booru button, like other fan art button entries that users have posted across the site, same as a bunch of other user submissions floating around the site.

Some of them are legit pixel-art masterpieces, some look like MS Paint crimes against geometry, and all of them get treated like equal candidates in the same rotating UI pool.

The whole system feels like a 2006-era Booru site running inside a cracked Windows XP install, half-stuck between Flash animations and broken CSS, with a dial-up connection that still has PTSD every time someone refreshes the page.

Automation is unlikely. Consistency isn’t part of the specification. It’s just whatever survives the upload queue and decides to show itself next.

Mahyar: I honestly can’t tell if what I made is trash or kinda good.

0 to 10, what’s the damage?

Mahyar: If it’s garbage, then yeah… I guess I’m just another member of the Win95 Paint crowd.

If it’s average, whatever.

If it’s good, then fine, not bad.

But honestly, knowing my track record, I once left a highly overconfident comment under my first FanArt, while the FanArt itself wasn’t even that good, and I was basically just spamming overly optimistic text underneath it… and only later started figuring out how this Booru actually works.

I should probably avoid drowning everything in emojis, avoid messy commentary, and not “attack primitive brains” (what you’d basically call tribal defensive reaction in psychology). Normal criticism is fine, but unnecessary noise just creates enemies for no reason.

And yeah, I basically ended up creating enemies for myself, a lot of the users who were there at the time, especially the uploader of the image, @Ofeerz . Kazerad was there too, and since that day he hasn’t replied to any of my messages anymore, like some kind of childish silent grudge.

Could be nothing, could just be silence, but it still sticks in my head more than it should.

That meme I uploaded earlier, the one the admins deleted, had a point too: any user in this Booru can basically hide explicit content under a “Trojan horse” of questionable censorship.

Mahyar: Note: The meme I uploaded earlier was not intended to reference any individual.
It was simply a general commentary on the tagging and censorship mechanics of the site.

Radiocaster: I give this a solid 8/10: it's simple, clean, and cute, just as a good button should be, not that there was actually a specific quality requirement (mine was thrown together in an hour or two at most, after all). The questionable tag is a courtesy to users who might not want to see suggestive content (or are checking the booru at the office instead of working), not really some kind of magic cross. The booru doesn't have a problem with actual explicit content, both because rulebreakers are rare, and because we have report buttons and moderators who don't mind seeing a pee pee. Kaz doesn't really talk a lot to begin with; he's actually cold-shouldering the whole booru most of the time lol. If I had to give you any social advice, it would be to avoid using double line-breaks as period. It makes your comments more spammy than you're likely intending them to be. Even just combining the lines down to a paragraph or two would make your speech less abrasive.

hexTerminator: i meant like, i mentioned last time you uploaded this image, that in the previous one it was not the 115x40 size, and that this one Is
