bluedraggy: She flew. A little.

bluedraggy: @Vidiotdragon I'd originally drawn a trough, but I felt like it wasn't immediately recognizable so I went with the modern urinal. Wasn't exactly going for immersion obviously! :)

bluedraggy: Something that came into my head last night while walking the dog and thinking about Kaz' old essay about an alien lizard that doesn't know social conventions. Of course all the characters (except that gawdawful guy beside her in the first one) were drawn by others - cubedcoconut and Kazerad in this case. Got Cubed's okay just now to post it. He liked it too. So let's see what the mods say about this one! Don't worry, Katia was freed after the misunderstanding was cleared up. S'thengir, however, was pissed at the work he had to do on the signs.

bluedraggy: Wow Zargo. Really excelled with this one.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Oof. Good point. Done!

bluedraggy: I'm afraid there are just some people who aren't cut out to draw and I'm one of them. I'm actually good with that. Hoping someday to grab onto a good artist's coattails as colorist! (like Raptie for Valsalia. Though he's pretty good in his own right.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: That's the one part I DIDN'T do! My drawings are shit, but my coloring isn't too bad I think. I just modified somebody else's work there to make the head a bit more Quill-Weave-ish. And the legs were a bit too skinny. So primarily those are just warping of Anon's existing drawing.

bluedraggy: Aw. You gave it away. But yup!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Also to not give it away, a simple "Yes" to acknowledge you know the source will suffice.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Only the most learned in the lore of Sadcats might pass this test!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Oak in Grey Hollow might be able to get away with it, but for everyone else this is a bad idea.

- Reply
bluedraggy: HA! Katia's jealous. Such an attention hog.

- Reply
bluedraggy: The easy answer is http://picarto.tv/kazerad but you should sign up and set a notification there to alert you. However, it's EXTREMELY rare. I was practically in shock when I saw that one pop up a month ago or so. Also be aware that he won't be giving away plots or anything like that. Maybe if lucky he'll do some drawings. Sometimes just plays games. But still it's kinda fun when he does anyway. Just don't hold your breath. I think the last one before that was probably 6 months prior. Like I said, REALLY rare.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Very very rarely, but I think it was about 3 weeks ago he did one. The term I learned tho was from years ago tho.

- Reply
bluedraggy: (I know, I know. It WAS kinda my idea. I bear some blame I suppose.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: KuroNeko thought he could hide this monstrosity in the comments, but NO! There is no hiding from Justice Horse! All must be revealed! (Well, no. Not EVERYTHING!)

He's lucky I didn't put the caption on I'd seriously considered, ("Hey, wanna see my medial ring?")
Fortunately for him I'm not 100% sure I'm remembering the term right. The things you learn on Kaz streams!

- Reply
bluedraggy: @Rick2tails Obviously I'm getting too predictable. Maybe I'll find a sexy fanart of Angry Horse and color that. With a cute skirt.

- Reply
bluedraggy: This is an image that strikes home.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Suddenly that painted on underwear doesn't seem like such a bad idea afterall, does it!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Couldn't find much appropriate to color, and I felt like coloring, so went back to a 6-year-old group of drawings by Sentient Socks for this. Had some help from a Discord to find the proper colors for the outfit. I did add the tail too.

- Reply
bluedraggy: @Caps - I'd say it's a fair trade.
To say this is very nice feels insufficient. By all rights it should be a featured masterpiece. Instead we get Jay Leno Cat.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Um... Okay. I'm sorry you felt someone had a gun to your head.

- Reply
bluedraggy: More likely it will all end up in a potted plant nearby.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Damn contrarians.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Lineless too. Dammit I need to LEARN!

- Reply
bluedraggy: Aww. I've seen these of course, but didn't get a chance to say how cute they were. Also, in such a pandemic it makes sense that Argonians should be the nurses and doctors of the world since they are disease-resistant.

Now don't be shy Katia, it's for your own good.

- Reply
bluedraggy: I blame XenoYparxi for reminding me of this. It's time to resurrect it.

- Reply
bluedraggy: This looks vaguely familiar. :)
"Sorry I broke your bowling ball!"

- Reply
bluedraggy: No idea what KuroNeko's thought was, but I imagine she's been stealing ketchup from everybody to sate her lust for ketchup-bath. Or lust to imitate a french-fry.

- Reply
bluedraggy: I am absolutely stealing some of your techniques here! I tried recently to do a lineless coloring, but alas failed miserably.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Is she actually running on top of deep water? I think so! What's most impressive is being able to convey that through just lines.

- Reply
bluedraggy: KuroNeko showed me the Evil QW picture before it was colored and I ran with it.

But he hadn't mentioned that it was only really ketchup at the time. I thought that was pretty dark for KuroNeko.
So I revised a bit. I have to say I kinda did like the real blood image anyway. :)

But mostly I was happy to know I could color them both and make it look different!

(I'm 99% sure Evil Quill-Weave is well aware that it's just ketchup. She just likes the aesthetic.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: The art-deco background is also a really nice touch! Good job Lapma!

- Reply
bluedraggy: 70s? As a 70's survivor, I can confidently say this is '20s.

- Reply
bluedraggy: I've been to the local library. Not one damn art book on Oblivion cultists! And the librarian gave me a funny look when I tried to specify what I was looking for.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Those fangs, red paint on the wall, a skull. Gives me a real vampire vibe - but they're the CUTE kind of fangs so it's fine, she's a cute vampire!

- Reply
bluedraggy: This is disturbingly good. I love Vaermina's eyes! But I don't think the questionable tag is needed tbh.

- Reply
bluedraggy: So this is why the bartender is so grumpy.

- Reply
bluedraggy: I expect this may cause a little controversy. But it's pretty darn close to canon. Probably the first Fourball drawing that could possibly have made it onto the booru though! (I'll have to check that).

It's important that when you complete a long, difficult goal you should celebrate heartily for a job well done. It is customary to inaugurate a newly completed project with a christening of some appropriate type. It is also important when joining a cult to read all the bylaws and rituals in the charter before signing.

bluedraggy: "Yeah, that's right. I'm a looker. Gaze and be impressed. I'm really quite in-shape for a middle-aged author!"

- Reply
bluedraggy: It was bound to happen.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Is she about to perform an Isaac Newton and discover both gravity and fruit-based mild concussion simultaneously?

- Reply
bluedraggy: Firstly, I want to apologize to Rick2Tails profusely. His error was minor compared to my own. Plus now the Questionable tag is 100% appropriate, if not for the original image, then for the horror that lurks in the comments!

- Reply
bluedraggy: That... makes some sense. Naughty Quill.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Once you start down the dark path of putting fruit on pizza it’s a slippery slope.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Odds are high she'll burn her tongue tho.

- Reply
bluedraggy: Don't try to fool me. I see those pineapples! Abomination Pizza. (though I do think Katia would love pizza almost as much as chocolate cake. And yea, probably the ham and pineapple kind.)

- Reply
bluedraggy: I'm sorry, but I have to mention that if it weren't for her top, she would be hanging down to the level of her hands. One would think a powerful Daedric prince of Vaermina's abilities would choose a form a bit less... unflattering. But then, that's probably the point.

bluedraggy: Something Kaz drew years ago and sent me. It's been languishing on my computer table forever, so finally scanned and colored it a bit.

As for context, who knows. Here's mine though!

While Quill-Weave was never much for high society, she did see the benefit in staying in the local royalty's good graces. It was her great fortune that Countess Millona felt having an author - and an Argonian no less - in her inner circle was a good thing, so she made it a policy to always attend any invitation she received. Quill-Weave had her doubts that the countess actually read any of her books, and she was quite sure that part of her admission into the countess' circle of friends was to act as the Token Lizard. But the perks outweighed the annoyances.

So when she actually received an invitation to a dinner cruise with the countess, she was more than happy to comply. She'd never been on a cruise before, even if it was just around the bay so the countess could show off her new ship. It didn't even bother her that the countess had asked if she could bring her friend along. '...that cat you brought last time. She was delightful!' may not have been the politically correct way to phrase it, but when you are a countess, you are by definition politically correct.

She had gone shopping with her friend, in fact, splurging more than was strictly necessary on the finest dinner gown she had ever owned. Before she left for the docks, she spent a solid hour preening in front of a mirror - of course hating herself all the while for it. She even helped her friend, and they walked hand-in-hand to the dock.

All had gone perfectly until after dinner when the guests were sipping drinks and chatting. She hadn't seen what sparked the incident, but before she knew it there were shouts of "Man Overboard" and Quill looked over the railing to see exactly what she expected to see. A flash of yellow in a wide, wide sea.

It isn't true that cats can't swim. In fact, they can swim quite well. They don't like it, and their claws can be quite sharp, but they can definitely swim. Quill had verified that years ago. However, her friend was not a cat.

She took one last look at her dress and sighed. But this was no time to be petty, and there was no time to disrobe. The yellow cat had gone under.

Later she was a little comforted to know that the consensus onboard was that it had been the best excecuted dive in full dress they'd ever seen. She'd hardly made a splash. They gave her straight 10s.
