Adroma: @MetalC0Mmander: I can see what you mean. Being in an alchol dazed state does make you happy for a really short time, if you try not to focus on the fact that you're piss drunk.

Happiness is a feeling, so insofar as it makes her feel happy (however temporarily), it makes her happy. There's a golden tragedy in the fact that only through self-destruction is she able to find her highest happiness, and it's that tragedy that we're trying to revel in right now.

Alcoholism isn't a good thing. It's untenable, it leads to deeper troughs of despair in the aftermath, and Katia's struggle to overcome it is altogether admirable. I'm rooting for her all the way. But that won't stop me from appreciating a good, tragical paradox every now and then.

ThatGuyWithAKhajiitWaifu: Its harder for a non alcoholic to understand. Alcoholics(and people who drink due to depression) are not happy. Now it would be for a drunk, of course they are happy, they are happy being drunk.
Drunks and Alcoholics are not the same thing.

ThatGuyWithAKhajiitWaifu: @Adroma: I can say, that I wouldn't desert Katia for her alcohol problems, even if things get awkward, I'd still be her friend. Because I understand alcoholics, I lived with one my entire life, my mother. I've seen almost every stupid thing she did, she took me almost every where she went, from every Mexican restaurant with a bar, to every neighborhood redneck party. Thankfully, I steer my self away from drinking before it become a problem.

Adroma: @MetalC0Mmander: Okay, I don't want to be rude, but this is how alcohol works, to be happy while drinking, you had to be happy beforehand. Alcohol amplifies your mood, so if you're super sad, it only gets worse and alcoholics know this yet they continue drinking for the numbness it provides. There is definitely false happiness, like when you try to ignore how terrible everything is and smile when you really want to go kill yourself. I can assume from very personal experience that all ALCOHOLICS, are depressed on some level.

You're trying to animate in Photoshop! Although it can be used for animation, it's really more of an editing tool. I did this in Toon Boom, which is a practical studio program. I wouldn't try this in Photoshop unless you're a masochist, but to get nice smooth-looking animation you'd want to show movement every 1/8th of a second at a minimum - which is to say if you're animating at 24 FPS, you'd draw a new image every three frames. They call that "animating on threes", and it's something they do to save money in kids' shows and the like. Most shows animate normal actions on twos, which is a new image every 1/12th second, and fast actions on ones, every 1/24th second.

So if you were to animate your gif at that level, which is maybe twenty seconds long, you'd be chewing through maybe 240 frames of work! I'm going to guess that's around 4000 layers based on how Photoshop moves things and how much is going on in your animation.

You did pretty well for a first art thing! If it turns out you like this stuff, I recommend looking into animation programs. It's a niche so a lot of the software can be expensive, but there are some feasible options. In this case I found Toon Boom worked really well because it can vectorize a png and its deformation tools make the noodle arms more flexible. You could also use Flash by putting all of the arm assets into symbols, but if you're going to spend money on something Flash is probably one of the most unstable and unreliable programs out there.
