AMKitsune: When I saw the thumbnail for this, I actually thought Katia was just extremely desaturated shade of her normal colour.
My brain's so used to seeing her in colour, it tried its best to fill in what it expected to see!

- Reply
AMKitsune: Well that's one way of dealing with Dagon

- Reply
AMKitsune: @Kavro: The only thing directly above her would be the cage, so presumably that?

- Reply
AMKitsune: "Katia, have you seen my old copy of black horse courier anywhere? It's the one that I got a short story published in"
"...no?"

- Reply
AMKitsune: @bluedraggy and @Sashimi: You're really not missing much, but ok.

- Reply
AMKitsune: Well damn.
Just after I uploaded my own, vastly inferior version to imgur, I refresh the booru only to find that you've uploaded a fully shaded version complete with custom background.
Well played Bluedraggy. Very well played indeed.

AMKitsune: @CandyDragon: So basically, she's either going to end up cutting herself or her outfit.

AMKitsune: @Mezhik: Isn't everything questionable when you really think about it? An exposed ankle here, a sideways glance there. Instead of struggling with what is and isn't on a case by case basis, it's easier to just lower the bar to the point where everything is. Problem solved

AMKitsune: @PermanentFace: In fairness, that scene did take place over 6 years ago (god that's a weird thought)

AMKitsune: If you want a vector image with truley smooth curves and sharp corners, I think you're going to have to trace it manually. Unless automatic tracing has developed features that I'm not aware of (which in fairness, is very possible), a trace is either going to to allow for smooth curves but also smooth out the corners or maintain the sharp corners but end up with jagged likes along the curves. Also, trying to trace an entire (lineart and colours) image at once doesn't seem to work out too well either. If you still want to try tracing the image programaticly, I'd suggest trying to extract the lineart so that you're just tracing black lines on a white background. Hopefully then, the trace will be able to produce a nice, pure set of lines without any unwanted 'anti-aliasing' artefacts.

I haven't vector traced in years though (and never done a particularly good job of it), so these aren't particularly well informed suggestions. Make of them what you will.

AMKitsune: @CandyDragon: There used to be. MikeyTheFox used to have a prequel themed minecraft server that I helped him run for a while. Decent servers cost money though, not many people donated to help with server upkeep and more important life expenses too priority .

AMKitsune: @PermanentFace: As far as I'm concerned, it started getting out of hand when the original picture of Katia could no longer been seen in these new versions.

As Radian says, perhaps it is indeed time to stop? After all, to quote a Daedric fun tip,

"A higher power gifts you comment boxes, do not sully them with unnecessary linked images"

AMKitsune: @CandyDragon: Looks more like a n than a g to me.
@WassapDude94: Not Kaz, but what do you mean by other platforms? Do you mean how to use daedric on other sites, or how to implement the system used here?

AMKitsune: @SilentOrbweaver: Both rich and successful? No .
Both alcoholics? Yes .

AMKitsune: From the thumbnail, I initially thought that this was Katia, Aggy and 3 Imperial soldiers.
Seeing the full image, Katia by an Ayleid well makes much more sense.

AMKitsune: @Atum_Doxhun: No, but I'm learning

- Reply
AMKitsune: Now that we know how to read Daedric, we need to learn to how to write Daedric.

AMKitsune: After looking at this, I am now educated.
The world needs more educational Katia.

AMKitsune: Nice little runner(?) game here.
One thing though if I may. While the beginning of the game is fine, as it speeds up, the framerate of 24fps can make the obstacle movement feel choppy and harder to react to than it otherwise could be. Now, I don't know whether in this case the framerate is limited by the game engine you're using of by flash's performance, but for reaction based games like this, generally speaking the higher the achievable framerate, the better. 60's generally considered the ideal 'goal' for game fps, but even 30 (an increase of 6) would probably yield some noticeable difference. Just a little something to consider for next time.

AMKitsune: I MUST RECLAIM MY HONOUR!!!
(Katia seriously needs an uncle Iroh in her life)

- Reply
AMKitsune: To begin with, I thought it was the 4 fingers of a giant, upturned hand overflowing with small yellow cats. A quick google image search later re-enforces your theory (seeing as it seems to come from a pony-centric booru)

- Reply
AMKitsune: @madmanransom: I'm fairly sure this is by POMA (the uploader who just so happens to not tag them-self as the artist of their work )

AMKitsune: Were those pineapples transformed from something/someone else?
Was there only one to begin with but was duplicated into another?
Is she yet to even use the Wabbajack on them?

So many possibilities.

AMKitsune: This Katia has a very 'plushy' look to her. Almost as if you could just pick her up and give her a big, squeezy hug.

AMKitsune: Enjoy the trip while you can Ms Anymore, you'll be throwing up overboard soon enough...

AMKitsune: @Geravind: My headcanon is that because his gift basket never reached Katia, he still has unfinished business. You know what that means...

Dmitri the friendly ghost!

AMKitsune: That lightning effect takes this from a 10 to an 11.
The whole thing's framed so well to show how truly small and powerless Rajirra and Co. are in this situation.

At least the little kitten baby doesn't seem to distressed.

AMKitsune: fanartbooru fanart... Well there's a first

One thing I don't really understand though, is why have a landing page with these few (admittedly important) links when pretty much any gallery page already has them?

It makes a nice first impression, sure, but it also slows down access to the real meat of the site.
Eh, I'm sure there must be good reasons for these sorts of landing pages. They probably wouldn't exist otherwise.

(Not questioning your design here, just the purpose of these kinds of pages in general. In-case you weren't aware, I'm as opinionated as I am uneducated in these matters XD)

Either that or elastic. That would make a pretty crap yoyo though...

AMKitsune: How many Dragons does it take before a place is infested with them? I'd propose 1.

Also, I love how out of place little, round faced Katia looks compared to the awesomely angular dragon.
It really helps emphasise the fact that she's really not meant to be there XD.

AMKitsune: @Rick2tails: Writer Quill-Weave sent out Katia (to replace damaged property)

AMKitsune: I was just about to say something about how that's such a catty thing to do, then I checked the video and saw that it was a catty thing!

You really nailed the poses and expressions (those multiple attempts weren't in vain).
Honestly, I find your claim of being 'new to drawing' a little hard to believe. Absolute beginners generally aren't this good. (I certainly wasn't... and still aren't )

AMKitsune: I'd have to vote for vintage as well. Not only is it the most thematically fitting, but it also appears that it would stand out better against a larger variety of background images/colours.

AMKitsune: @furnut: Woah, woah, woah... Hold on there. You're saying that was a sketch? Does that mean you're planning on doing even more with it?
(because it's already awesome as it is. Anything additional would just make it even better!)

This is good. Scary good.
